WALA Annual Meeting

""

You are all invited to the Annual WALA Meeting at Mulvane Public Library on Wednesday, May 20th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Mulvane Public Library
408 N 2nd Ave., Mulvane, KS 67110
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

I’ll do a WALA year-in-review and then our guest speaker James Quint, executive director of the Old Cowtown Museum, will share updates and new information from the museum, including collaboration opportunities for local libraries.

Empire Tacos, local Mulvane restaurant, will once again cater the lunch, because why mess with something as delicious as TACOS! The lunch cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. You can sign up for a membership at the meeting. We’ll have applications available. Annual membership fee is $15 ($5 for students).

We’ll also hold our annual elections for the following open board positions: vice-president, treasurer, secretary, and 3 board members.

We hope to see you all there!

Best,

Hannah Adamson
WALA President 2025-2026

We’ll meet up at the Wichita Art Museum on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 a.m. for their FREE Family Artventure: Picture This: A Day of Art + Play. Enjoy artmaking, music, and free admission to the Gordan Parks photography exhibit. WAM is also hosting a mini used book sale the same day!

It’s a family friendly event that goes until 4 p.m. Stay as long as you are able! Bring the whole family!

I hope to see you there!
