Holiday Party 2017
Hello WALA Members!
WALA members and members’ families are cordially invited to join us for our annual WALA Holiday Social. We enjoy a nice potluck dinner, white elephant book exchange, fun bookish games, and catching up with our librarian colleagues. We will provide the ham and beverages if you would please bring a side dish or dessert. For the book exchange, wrap up a book – any book – funny or serious, fiction or nonfiction, new or used. Typically, we bring a wrapped book from a used book sale or a weeded library book that someone might enjoy. This year, we are also planning a game which is not set in stone yet, but might be something like a book title Pictionary.
Please join us on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Mulvane Public Library, 408 N 2nd Ave.

2017 Annual Meeting and Elections
The Wichita Area Library Association invites you to its Annual Meeting and Elections on May 18 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Lunch will be served, followed by an update on the new Wichita Public Library Advanced Learning Library and then the annual business meeting. 2017 retirees will be honored as well. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. See the flyer for more details.

WALA is proud to announce that Susan Hildreth, former director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, will be joining us for a brown bag lunch at the Alford Branch Library Tuesday March 28th at noon.
